Biography:
Susan Lee Skipper is a Greensboro native and proud Grimsley alumnus, where she was a member of the last State Championship Women's Swimming & Diving Team that Grimsley won. She went on to swim at UNC Charlotte as a four year varsity team member where she specialized in 200 Butterfly. This is her 7th year coaching the Whirlies and her 4th year as Head Coach after serving for three years as Assistant Coach. She was the '21-'22 Metro 4A Conference Coach of the Year for both the Men's and Women's teams and the '23-'24 Women's Coach of the Year.
Susan holds a BA in English from UNC Charlotte, and a Master's (MLIS) in Library and Information Science from UNC Greensboro. She is a NC Licensed Massage Therapist and an instructor in the Massage Therapy program at GTCC. Susan also serves as an Executive Board member of the Greensboro Community Swim Association.
She loves swimming, running, and hiking long distances. She has one daughter who is currently a Whirlie.

Assistant Coach
Biography:
Jill Ingram grew up in Greensboro and returned in 2013 after living for many years in Western North Carolina. She is a Grimsley alumnus and she grew up swimming for Friendly Park Pool and was teammates with Coach Skipper on the GSA and Grimsley swim teams. She was a member of the last State Championship Swimming and Diving Team for Grimsley. This is her first year as Assistant Coach and she is proud to represent her alma mater.
She works at UNC Greensboro and enjoys running, hiking, home improvement, and most of all spending time with her 12-year-old son.
