Hey Girls,

It is field hockey time!! With some important info:

• July 31 Paperwork due, including Physical
  • Paperwork can be found on http://gowhirlies.org/main/filesLinks
  • The 2017-18 Athletic form is not yet available, I will send out an email as soon as it is available (do NOT fill out 2016-17)
  • Note: NO PAPERWORK NO TRYOUT
  • I will be at school from 6-8pm

• July 31 there will be a parent meeting at 6pm @ Grimsley, so we can go over expectations for the season

• TRYOUTS
  • August 1; 2 & 3 è 6-8 pm
  • You need to be able to run 1 mile in 10 min (absolutely no walking if you want to make Varsity). We will start all 3 days with THE mile
  • August 4 teams will be announced

• PRACTICE
  • Daily Mon. through Fri 6–8pm until school starts (Aug 7 – 25)
  • When school starts (Aug 28): 4h30pm – 6h30pm

• JAMBOREE @ Mount Tabor

    August 19, we will take one team

Guilford County is probably going to apply the rule “pay to play”.

This means that you have to pay (possibly $45, not set in stone yet) to play a school sport.
